From distributor to product developer: completing a structural transition
Paris, France — 20 March 2023 — Genèse Labs has been re-established as Genèse Labs France, shifting its business model from the distribution of aesthetic products to in-house product development and global brand ownership.

• Re-established as a French entity, enabling the company to act as its own EU Responsible Person
• Reorganised around regulatory affairs, product development and international marketing
• Goal of bringing an in-house product to market within the same year achieved with the launch of RG60®
• EU-compliant documentation positioned as a credibility marker for expansion into Asia, the Middle East and Latin America
The regulatory significance of corporate structure
Under EU cosmetics law, every product placed on the European market must have a designated Responsible Person established within the EU, who bears legal responsibility for product safety and regulatory compliance. By operating as a French entity, Genèse Labs became able to serve as the Responsible Person for its own products, file regulatory notifications directly, and maintain product documentation under its own control. For a company planning to launch multiple lines across several categories, this in-house capability meaningfully reduced both cost and time to market.
Reorganising around research and development
The re-establishment came with a reallocation of resources toward formulation development, clinical validation and intellectual-property protection. Where the previous structure had prioritised commercial reach, the new organisation prioritised depth of product pipeline — restructured around regulatory affairs, product development and international marketing. The company’s goal of bringing an in-house product to market within the same year was achieved with the launch of RG60®.
Building a platform for global growth
The French entity also provided an institutional foundation for markets beyond Europe. Regulatory authorities and distribution partners in Asia, the Middle East and Latin America read EU-compliant documentation as an indicator of product quality and manufacturing discipline. A product developed in France and validated to European standards carries a credibility that accelerates entry elsewhere — an advantage that proved central to the expansion that followed, including KFDA registration in Korea.
“Becoming our own Responsible Person was not an administrative formality. It gave us direct control over safety, documentation and speed to market — the three things a growing brand cannot afford to outsource.”  — Genèse Labs, Company statement
