High purity, low toxin load

Purity and neurotoxin content are central to a favourable safety profile.
AxeniQ pairs a high-purity formulation with a low neurotoxin load per vial —
helping to minimise the risk of adverse events while delivering reliable results.

Built on a vacuum-dried foundation

Compared with conventional freeze-drying, vacuum drying avoids the ice-nucleation step
that can denature protein — preserving potency, purity and structural integrity
from the very first stage of manufacturing.

Why it matters
  • Freeze-drying forms ice nuclei that can denature protein and increase inactive toxin.
  • Vacuum drying skips freezing, reducing inactive-toxin formation.
  • Inactive toxin is a known factor in immunogenicity.
  • The result is a firm, uniform cake and reliable potency per vial.
TWO PRESENTATIONS, ONE STANDARD
High-purity active

Botulinum toxin type A with a low neurotoxin load per vial and a clean impurity profile.

Vacuum-dried cake

Consistent, stable structure

900 kDa complex

Intact high-molecular-weight complex protects core neurotoxin until administration.

Stable potency

Potency held within specification across a 36-month shelf life at 2–8 °C.

Predictable onset

Visible smoothing within days; typical effect duration of 3–4 months for glabellar lines.

Two strengths

100 U and 200 U formats for focused or multi-area treatment.

High-purity active

Botulinum toxin type A with a low neurotoxin load per vial and a clean impurity profile.

  • High purity

A single dominant peak on SEC-HPLC, with an average purity of 99.59% — well above the 95% regulatory criterion.

    • Average purity 99.59% by SEC-HPLC
    • Low inactive protein content
    • Subunit profile confirmed by SDS-PAGE
    Why it matters

Impurities that are not part of the toxin are removed, so each unit delivered is the unit intended.

  • Rapid onset
    Rapid onset

Visible smoothing within days of treatment, with a predictable path to full effect.

    • Visible smoothing within days
    • Reconstitutes rapidly into a clear solution
    • Particle-free after reconstitution
    Why it matters

A firm, uniform cake dissolves evenly — no waiting, no agitation.

  • Targeted diffusion

Precise action on the treatment area, with spread that stays where it is placed.

    • Controlled spread
    • Natural outcomes
    Why it matters

Consistent concentration at 4 U / 0.1 mL supports reproducible placement.

CONFIRMED BY SDS-PAGE analysis

The molecular weight of the protein subunits composing the botulinum toxin type A complex was confirmed by SDS-PAGE, verifying the expected profile of the 900 kDa complex (19S).

Reconstitution

Dilute with preservative-free sterile 0.9% saline. Both formats reconstitute to a working concentration of 4 U / 0.1 mL: the 100 U vial to 2.5 mL, the 200 U vial to 5.0 mL. For intramuscular use only. Single dose per vial — discard any unused portion. Refer to the approved package insert.

Appearance & storage

White to pale-yellow vacuum-dried powder in a single-dose vial; a clear, particle-free solution when reconstituted. Refrigerate at 2–8 °C and protect from light. Shelf life 36 months from manufacturing date.

Indication

AxeniQ temporarily reduces muscle activity for the improvement of facial wrinkles. The 100 U vial covers the core upper-face areas; the 200 U vial extends to larger muscles and multi-area sessions.
